Nino
Nino is a 10 year old, 9lb Chihuahua mix that we pulled from a shelter in Quebec. He was found wandering alone in a building and no one claimed him.
Nino is an incredibly easy-going little guy. He sleeps most of the day away and is happy to snuggle up against his human. He's not much of a lap-dog though—he prefers to press right beside you, rather than on your lap.
Nino can be a little shy at first but does startle at loud noises. He's not a very playful dog and doesn't have much interest in toys, but he does enjoy a bit of play with his human. It's fun to interact with him because he has very few teeth, which means he just gums you during a little rough-house. Nino enjoys going on walks and is great on leash. He doesn't love the cold weather, of course, but it's clear he loves being outside.
Nino is housetrained but will not bark to let you know he needs to go out; instead, he will come over to you and whine. Nino is not crate trained but his foster doesn't see much of a need for it. He does will being left alone and does fine in the car.
Nino is curious about other dogs but prefers to keep his distance. A gradual introduction is recommended. He has not been tested with cats. This senior boy would do best in a calm, patient home, preferably without young children. Older children should be able to recognize his boundaries and respect his space.
Nino is neutered, vaccinated and ready to find his forever home!
